AVG Antivirus Review

- 2 de outubro de 2023

AVG provides a robust feature set as well as a near-perfect malware detection score. It also has one of the top firewalls I’ve tested with a reliable web and email scanner, and powerful features for optimizing your device. However, it doesn’t have parental controls and reliable ransomware security. It is also known to bog down performance, particularly on computers that aren’t as powerful.

AVG’s free version provides basic malware protection but does not include an internet scanner or firewall. The basic plan offers an even more comprehensive set of features, and premium plans come with useful tools like a system tune-up tool and a VPN.

As a bonus AVG’s mobile apps offer several exclusive features that aren’t present in the desktop version. Android apps, for example let you remotely erase and lock a phone in the event it gets lost. It also has a convenient photo vault that can store all of your private pictures and videos safely. It also comes with an anti-theft feature that allows you to track the location of your phone and make it sound an alarm.

AVG’s user-friendly interface features well-known thumbnails and headings that aid you in understanding its many features. In the settings menu, you can alter the sensitivity of your scan and add or remove file formats from the scan. You can also enable advanced options such as shredding and deep scanning after they have been examined. You can also adjust pop-up notifications, control what data is shared with AVG and activate an “do not disturb” mode to allow full-screen gaming or video-watching.
